Twenty Seven Degrees Who needs a treadmill when you’ve got a 1/2 mile long driveway full of heavy snow that takes 1 1/2 hours to shovel away?

Today, it’s a balmy 27 degrees outside. I had to make a trip to the Post Office to pick up a check that was Fed Ex’d from a client of mine in Japan. Apparently, they tried to deliver it to my home last week and don’t attempt again . . so I had to make the 5 minute trip to the Post Office. Woe is me!

When I got home, for some strange reason, I decided that the driveway needs shoveling. This is no small feat – - we have a looonnnnngggg ass driveway. But, since it was so warm – - I figured it would be great exercise.

An hour and a half later (still without my first cup of coffee of the day) I finished up – - laid some rock salt all over the place so it doesn’t freeze over night and walked in the warm house wondering what the hell was I thinking?? I have two teenagers for crying out loud!

But, I feel energized and invigorated in a way that only good exercise and fresh, cold crisp winter air can do. Now, I have my cup of hot coffee. My cat, Bubba, snuggled around my feet under my desk. AC/DC blasting my speakers . . . it’s a good day so far!

She was a fast machine . . she kept her motor clean . . she was the best damn woman that I have ever seen..
