WOW!

We had a blast today! We got in and were about 6-10 feet away from the President during his speech.

We started our day at 7 am and were on our feet from 9am – 2pm and I’m exhausted and hungry!

I blogged all about it here. Including a TON of pictures here.

Also, there’s a story that caught my eye after the rally – - about how the AP reported that the crowd in Wisconsin boo’d when President Bush announced the hospitalization of former President Clinton.

The AP makes this headline: Audience boos as Bush offers best wishes for Clinton’s recovery .

Except I was there…at that particular Bush Rally. I called my Mom and asked her…. “Do you remember any boo’ing?” She said, “No.”

Chris was there – standing right next to me. I asked, “Do you remember the crowd boo’ing when Bush announced about Clinton?” He said, “No, not at all.”

Then I asked my Dad, who also happened to be there. . . “Nope – no boo’ing”, he stated.

So now there is this : Text of Bush’s remarks in West Allis

Here is the audio from Bush’s presentation in Wisconsin.

As I said, there was no boo’ing when President Bush made the announcement about Clinton’s hospitalization and made wishes for a speedy recovery. The crowd was very gracious.

The only boo’ing to be heard was when Bush reviewed Senator Kerry’s voting record in the Senate.

I’ve already fired off an email to whatever press figures I could think of, including the AP, demanding a retraction of the story!! Liberal media at it’s finest….or worst, depending how you want to look at it.

This whole story has taken on a life of it’s own throughout the blogosphere – - click here to read all the updates on the AP story gone awry.

All in all, it was a GREAT day!

This is Chris, me and my mom standing outside the Expo Center, waiting to get in to make our campaign phone calls before the rally.

Boos or No Boos; Which Is It?
Well, it sounds like the original AP reporter could not separate the boos during Bush describing Senator Kerry’s 19 year voting record versus the wishes that Dubya had for former President Clinton. At the event was Lisa from Just…

Lisa you are so lucky! It must be cool to live in a swing state, able to go to see the president. Unfortunately my state, Rhode Island, is hopelessly democrat:roll: darn north east!

If you have the time, you need to go read this in it’s entirety.

If you don’t have the time – - take my word that it is absolutely worth every second and every single word if you would take a break in your evening and make the time.
