What a week

i wrote this on August 17th, 2005 at: 3:11 pm and its been viewed 601 views

So, I’ve been to the dentist twice this week, so far. Three root canals and a few handfuls of Vicodin later - - here I am .. rejoining the living — and alive to blog about it.

I can’t even say how much I hate going to the dentist. I’m one of those people with a pathologic and totally unrealistic fear of the dentist… the dentist office… the smells in a dentist office and absolutely everything dental!

I found a dentist in my area, though that is just phenomenal! He’s patient. He listens to me. He’s gentle. He explains every single thing every step of the way and gives me that beautiful nitrous oxide gas that makes me feel happy and floaty during the procedure.

Then, I find out that he’s retiring at the end of the year.

Drat!

I tried talking him out of it - - but it was a no go. Dammit.

So, if you’ve been trying at all to get ahold of me over the last few days - I’ve either been in the dentist chair or in bed, looped up on Vicodin. I’m doing great today, though - - the pain is almost all gone… don’t need the pain medication anymore and I’m back on a normal work schedule! Yay me!

Speaking of work.. and all things work… I’ve been stressing just a bit as I try to prepare for my upcoming cruise vacation. Trying to tie up all the lose ends, so to speak - - and to get Michael up to speed on everything he needs to keep an eye on and run things in my absence. He’s is great.. and an absolute and total life saver for me. This is the first time that I’ve ever handed over the reigns completely to anyone… so there is understandable stress. However, if it’s going to be anyone - Michael will be the guy to do it flawlessly. I just simply cannot state how much I appreciate having him on board. Go give him a visit would ya? Tell him he rawks.

In the meantime. I’m sitting here working and decided that I really need to quit smoking. It doesn’t go along with my newly found healthy lifestyle, anyways. But more than that? I dropped a lit cigg into my cleavage today.

OW!

Definitely time to quit if I’m going to risk burning the girls off!!
