Ok - so the campaign manager of the late-Senetaor Wellstone came out and apologized for the way his memorial service ended up taking on such a sharp political tone. Hey - do you think he read my blog and decided he needed to publicly apologize??? LOL
“It probably would have been best not to get into the election,” Blodgett said.
Gee, I don’t know………YA THINK???
I’ll tell ya - this is typical Democrat liberal dribble. Apologize profusely after the fact - after the damage is already done. Even the television stations who televised it are complaigning that they were ‘duped’ and ‘fooled’ ….. misled into televising a live, public PARTISAN political rally.
Did you know that Vice-President Cheney wanted to go to the memorial to pay his respects to a long-time Senator who paid his dues to his country? But Cheney was told he was not invited.
Did you know that Senator Trent Lott (Republican) went to the memorial service…..a MEMORIAL FOR A DEAD SENATOR, keep in mind. When he showed up there he encountered a crowd of about 25,000 people and got BOO’d! They BOO’d him at a funeral! Just because he is Republican.
Governor of Minnesota, Jessie Ventura - got up and left the memorial service out of disgust.
Now there is a man with taste.
“This will never, ever happen again”
Well, gee - how often are you democrats going to have the opportunity to attend the memorial service of a Senator who died just one week before Senatorial elections - and turn said memorial service into a huge political rally to pump up the sympathy vote?
Not too often, huh?
Well, actually - it happens more often that just this time - - but I won’t get into that here for fear of gaining the reputation of a conspiracy theorist. I’ll leave that to my mother.
On to more important things - - C. is booking his flight to come stay here for 3 weeks during Christmas! Yippee!! I’m actually taking him to my folks house for the Christmas day festivities. Yikes. Well, I suppose, it has been two years - - I suppose it’s time he meet the family, huh ![]()
