Chris and I will be attending the Blog World and New Media Expo being held in Vegas, September 19-21st. We’re excited to be going to Vegas and attending this conference. Are you planning on going? It’s just a little over a month away! If you ARE wanting to go, but haven’t registered yet – at the end of this post I have a happy little discount for registration for the conference, just as a thanks for dropping by my site and taking the time to read :)

The conference is geared towards people who publish their own media – whether it’s bloggers, podcasters, video bloggers, photographers.. it pretty much runs covers everyone who is publishing today. From the Blog World Expo website:

Any Blogger, Vlogger, Podcaster, Internet TV or Radio Broadcaster, Social Media expert or producer of any other form of new media content. If you blog about business, technology, politics, sports, lifestyle & culture, general news items, or celebrity gossip…if you are a Milblogger, or Godblogger, or advocate a social position you need to be here. If you are serious about your blogging, If you want to increase your readership, improve the look or functionality of your blog, if you want to influence decision makers, sell a product or service, if you want to promote yourself as an industry expert, or build your brand using new media then you cannot afford to miss BlogWorld & New Media Expo.

Check out the Conference Schedule – it’s pretty packed with great panels and speakers who are well known and knowledgeable in their specific areas. From SEO to Social Media…. Professional Blogging and tools of the trade – this conference has got it covered. Just Day One of the schedule looks pretty packed – - it’s going to be a hard choice on what presentation we will be attending on that day.

I didn’t get to attend last year due to scheduling problems on my end (read: too much work, not enough time!) – but the reports I heard from people who did attend were really positive and amazing. Lots of great information presented, blogging tools, good networking with others in your niche, great presentations and teaching – I didn’t hear a negative thing about it.

This year, we’re going and looking forward to meeting up with a few good friends:

Paul Chaney – Paul and I go back a loooooooooooooong, long way and I truly treasure his friendship through the years. I’ve met up with him a few times in the past at SXSW in Austin and am looking forward to seeing him, and his wife Amy, in Vegas in September.

Charnell Pugsley – Charnell works for Peer 1 and ServerBeach. We have been very happy clients of theirs for YEARS and I had the fortunate chance to meet her at SXSW in Austin this past March. I can’t say enough about Charnell – she’s really fabulous. (Plus, she recently did a very flattering post about me with information on my proposed panel for SXSW – what’s not to love??)

Are YOU going? Please let me know – - maybe we can hook up over coffee, or something!

Now, on to that happy little discount I mentioned at the beginning of this post…..

I’ve recently shared a few nice emails with Rick Calvert, the founder and organizer of Blog World. I had the fortunate opportunity to meet him in person at SXSW in March earlier this year, so it was really nice to touch base with him again. In our talks, Rick very generously provided me with a VIP code to offer to my friends — that would be YOU. This is a promotion code that you can use to get a full 20% off the cost of the conference registration. This VIP code expires September 1 – so if you want to get that 20% discount, you need to register between now and then!

All you need to do? Drop a comment in this post and let me know that you’re planning to register and attend the BWE conference and would like my VIP discount. I will then email it to you right away so you can nab the 20% benefit.
