Thursday Ten+Three

on: Jan/5/06 and its been viewed 1,240 times

Thursday 10+3 - that is almost too much math for me to do at this hour of the morning. Almost. This one is going to be a quickie because I’m so busy, I can’t see straight - and I haven’t slept yet. Oh heck, it’s only 6:00 AM - what are you lookin’ at?

My thirteen for this week

  1. We’ll be announcing our New Year’s Blog Winner over at E.Webscapes on Monday 1/9 - if you entered, keep your eyes open!
  2. Speaking of E.Webscapes - we have a new designer over there. If you haven’t already, go give that woman a pat on the back! Oh, and just for me - - send her some kind of apple. A graphic apple . . . a picture of an apple, an apple e-card - - whatever you can think of. Just no rotten apples!
  3. 2 1/2 weeks of diet, exercise and otherwise torturing my poor skin - - I’m 7 full lbs lighter than I was when I first started this thing. I know, I know - water weight - no big deal. But, hey - pounds are pounds, man.
  4. You can grab Thursday Thirteen over by Leanne - the fabulous creator of this fun . . thing!

  5. Watching the 24 hour cable news bores me these days. Serioiusly. Does anyone else want to put a gag on Geraldo?
  6. I had a little wedding planning breakdown the other night at the kitchen table. So much to do! It’s already 2006??? I haven’t gotten my invitations out yet! My goal was to have them out by the first week of the new year and I’m not even done.
  7. Chris says, “Ya know, baby - if we just stay engaged and living together for another 4 years - - we can do the common law thing.” If you see that man, slap him for me. Hard.
  8. I drove 25 minutes to my bank on Monday. Pulled up to the teller window. Realized January 2nd was a bank holiday. Drove 25 minutes back home, swearing the whole way. My kids were in school on January 2nd - - I think that’s why it didn’t occur to me that the banks would be closed.
  9. My ex-boss from the Hospice has been calling me. Four times over the past 2 days. Conveinently, I’ve missed all her calls thus far. She usually calls me when they are in crisis. Ya know - because I work from home and all. That means I have all this time on my hands to do what I want . . . like bail them outta crisis mode. Should I answer the next call? Ugh.
  10. Tip: Don’t burn chocolate scented candles in your office when you’re on a diet. Resist the urge. I got 3 of them for Christmas, and they’ll have to be put up on the shelf. /drool
  11. It is January 5th. I live in Wisconsin. It is 45 degrees outside and not a spec of snow to be found. Anywhere. I wonder if the ski hill provides refunds on those season passes we purchased when there hasn’t been any snow or skiing to be had all season?
  12. Did I mention I want to ski?? It’s my big winter stress relief!! /whine
  13. I’m pondering another designer. Yes, again. Just pondering, mind you. I’ve hired and I’ve hired again, yet I’m still drowning in work. It’s a good thing, business-wise.. but man!
  14. I listen to music while I work and surf. Now playing: Living Loving Maid - Led Zepplin. What’s your current groove?

That’s all I have for now. With a purple umbrella and a fifty cent hat, Livin’, lovin’, she’s just a womangirl.

So, leave a trackback from your Thursday 13 to mine - and you’ll automatically be linked here as a Thursday 13 participant. Your blog software does not support trackback pinging, you say? It doesn’t need to - you can use Wizbang’s Standalone Trackback Pinger to send a trackback from your post to any blog in the blogosphere.

The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Visiting fellow Thirteeners is encouraged! If you participate, leave the link to your Thirteen in others comments. It’s easy, and fun! Be sure to update your Thirteen with links that are left for you, as well! I will link to everyone who participates and leaves a link to their 13 things. Trackbacks, pings, comment links accepted!

I forgot Monday was a holiday too! My kids has school so I’m driving aroung doing my errands and kept running into the closed sign. Doh!

Then later I walked all the way to my mailbox (I have a 1/8 of a mile driveway through the woods) just to remember- yet again- that it was a holiday.

    Happy Thursday:)

I checked my mail on Monday, too, and I want snow, but I don’t think we’ll get any. Yesterday it was nearly 70 degrees. It was gorgeous, but not at all typical. I’m waiting on the real gloomy weather to kick in. I know it’s coming!

Happy Thursday 13! Yes, Geraldo annoys the hell out of me. Like he’s a “real” newsreporter. He’s the equivalent of the National Enquirer or Star magazines…well, maybe not THAT bad, but I think he sensationalizes everything. I don’t believe a word that he says.

And don’t knock the fact that you’ve lost 7pounds…that’s great, especially in a week!

    My 13 are up.

6/13 - that’s a pretty darn tactful way of putting “Why buy the cow when I’m getting the milk for free?!” :x

13/13 - I’m grooving to Mocean Worker’s Enter the Mowo right now. Chica boom chica boom boom boom…

Good for you - 7 lbs is GREAT! I haven’t even started yet, but I will be joining Leanne’s P2G group in the next few days. You know, my 20 year HS reunion is next summer, so that is pretty good incentive.

Hang in there, and think of how relieved you’ll feel when you’re all caught up!

Don’t answer the phone - let the ex-boss figure it out for themselves. Is that bitchy?

I was upset Michael Jackson was found innocent…I wanted Geraldo to shave off that nasty mustache!

I’m sorry you’re feeling all the wedding stuff. My suggestion is hit Chris. Just keep poundin’ away at him for the “common law” comment…you’ll feel better soon :D
