Proud Mom Moment

My daughter took FIRST PLACE in her talent show last night. She’s got herself a big ol’ blue ribbon for first place. There were 30 kids who participated….and she brought the house down with her singing.

I watched her sing last night - - and had to hold back the tears, so I didn’t embarrass the poor girl. She got a standing ovation from the crowd of about 150. I was just mesmerized watching and listening to her. She nailed every note strong and confidently.

I don’t remember being that confident at the age of 12.

I was simply beaming with pride over that girl. Heck, she could’ve taken last place and my pride would be no less. Listening to her sing touches something very deep inside. Something I simply just can’t place into words.

My 2 year old did her first “show” last week, they did “bringing home a baby bumble bee” when the curtain rolled back she froze and did not move, sing or anything through two whole renditions, just stood there like a deer in headlights. I was so proud :-)

    Congrats

    Hooray!

I remember you telling us how moved you were hearing her practice, seeing her get up in front of an audience and sign it loud and confidently must be amazing.

Though, how you held back the tears I’ll never know

Congrats to her! And compliments to you for doing a good job raising her to be a confident, creative young lady - and beautiful, too.
