Operation Shoe Fly

on: Jun/28/04 and its been viewed 1,079 times

For quite some time now, Sgt. Hook, has been operating a project called ‘Operation Shoe Fly’. It’s really great. Their motto is: “Bringing the Hearts of America to the Soles of Afghanistan”.

Sgt. Hook, in an effort to shoe the children, with no shoes on their feet, created the concept of Operation Shoe Fly. If you can collect the shoes, used or new, boys’ and girls’ (age 14 and under), and send them to Hook, he and his crewdogs will fly them out to the Afghani kids who so desperately need them.

Please send your shoes to:

Operation Shoe Fly
B Co, 214th Aviation Regiment
Bagram, Afghanistan
APO AE 09354-9998

Another way to help is of course by getting the word out on Operation Shoe Fly. Inspired by his vision, Vickie took some steps to help this project along it’s merry way - - and now Sgt. Hook and Operation Shoe Fly has it’s own website and domain for updates and stories about the project and the assistance it brings to the children of Afghanistan. Hook would be most appreciative for any and all help in spreading the word on their endeavor.

Go check ‘em out at their new domain!

Thanks Lisa. If I haven’t said it lately, you’re a doll.
