Odd Dream

on: May/7/04 and its been viewed 1,239 times

….I was eating one of those Flav-O-Ice Pops in my dream.

It was a red one.

You know the kind - - they are basically frozen Kool Aid in a long, horizontal plastic wrapper?

I was trying to bite off the top so that I could start eating it. The plastic would only tear off little tiny bits at a time, as I was biting away at it. I was getting increasingly frustrated that I couldn’t get to the yummy, sweet pop inside. I kept tearing away at the plastic….almost getting to the inside, but never quite close enough.

I finally got fed up and decided to take a scissors to the top of the pop. I snipped the top of the plastic off.

Bad thing was…I didn’t take the pop away from my lips when I snipped the top of the plastic off - - so I also snipped off my entire bottom lip.

Then I woke up.

Man, I’m addicted to those things. If I buy a box I’ll start with one.. then next thing you know I’ve had like 20. Gary and I dig through and pick out our favorite colors.. and just slurp away. One night I came home from work and he had about 30 empty wrappers sitting on the coffee table and his lips were blue. It was great.

Very strange, I’ve had a dream nearly identical to that. I’ve never understood it. The symbology of cutting of your lips must MEAN something, but I don’t know what! I wish my subconcious was a little clearer sometimes!

:) that’s a very obvious ‘communication’ dream. you know what you’re trying to say, but you don’t feel like you’re getting your meaning across, hence the ripping and tearing at the pop. then, in your embarrassment at being misunderstood, you cut your lips. or it could also be along the lines of ‘to cut off your nose to spite your face’… what do you think?

Not bad, goldie. Not bad at all. Actually, that could definately be applicable to a couple of situations I have going on at the moment.

    Hmmm..

Well, we all know what Sigmund would say about this.

But sometimes a popsicle really is just a popsicle.

He’d say…pass me that popsicle, and try this cigar.
