New Toy

on: Sep/20/04 and its been viewed 1,461 times

I installed a new toy here today. My photo gallery is up and running with plans to share a few pics here and there of some family stuff and other random, miscellaneous things from life, in general. I thought about a photoblog, but decided against it. I just wanted something simple - - too much client work to be done for me to be dinkering with my stuff, at the moment.

My folks were over tonight for Ben’s birthday - - cake, ice cream, gifts - that kind of thing. Ben never wants a big ‘to do’ - - he just wants big gifts lol - don’t all kids? The older they get - - the more expensive their gifts become, or at least the gifts on their list. We all had a nice time. Of course, my folks can’t come over to my house without the conversation turning to politics. Chris and my mom can go to town arguing politics like none other! Just once, I’d like a family get together without political rants at the kitchen table.

One time.

I think I’ll put that on my birthday list for next year! :)

I hope you get what you want next year! I’ve never really liked birthdays. Don’t know why…

Love the Gallery. I, too, toyed with the photoblogging, since I got a nifty lil’ Kodak and snap pictures nearly every day.

I also know exactly how you feel about the whole “where’s my lil’ boy?” post. My youngest will be 14 in December and my eldest will be  17 in April.

My, how time flies. ::: sigh :::

New Toy

on: Nov/3/03 and its been viewed 407 times

I have the day off from work today because yesterday was the on-call day from hell. I was on-call from 8am Sunday morning until 8am this morning — and I worked straight through from 8am until about 2am last night - - when I finally got a break and the pager stopped stalking me. So, today I’m off.

This is a good thing because the friendly UPS driver visited my home today and brought me a new toy!! I love toys :)

Chris surprised me and bought me one of these!

Of course - I need one. Doesn’t everybody??

See - we’ve started a new business together. We’ve gone into the business of web hosting and design and all points in between. All of the sudden, we are busier than we ever though we’d be - - and we still haven’t finalized the details of all the packaging we’ll be offering. OY! It’s going to take some work over the next few weeks in order to catch ourselves up — but it’s totally doable :)

We were talking about live support and the ability to be available via the web at most times of the day. So, he bought me this toy to help me organize myself, my projects - - and to keep connected to the web no matter where I am, or when.

Kinda cool! :) So, I’m charging the thing up as we speak and reading and learning how to use it. Wish me luck!

    I LOVE my T3.

There are a couple of patches on PalmOne’s website you must download, particularly the big 20 meg one for the SD issue. If you don’t fix the issue, the handheld will fry memory cards.

Let me know what you think of yours :-)

Vinny - - So far, I love the new toy! My only complaint is that the battery doesn’t stay charged long enough for my liking. Thanks for the tip on the patch!
