I did the resignation thing today - and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Thanks to UptownGirl, Linda, Vickie, Lori, Mog, Daniel, Vinny and Nikoms for words of support and encouragement - - it truly helps to hear rational voices of reason when my stomach is tied in knots.
My official last day in this position is August 10th - - and they even gave me the days off that I need for the training in Atlanta. WHEW!
To celebrate - - I did what any self respecting woman would do, under these circumstances…. I made an appointment and treated myself to a color refresher and hair cut:
Chris called me on my cell during the haircut. He likes my hair long - - some guys are funny that way. Lucky him that I like the long tresses, too. The conversation went something like this:
*Ring*
Me: Hello
Chris: Hey, baby - what’cha doin?
Me: Getting my hair done
Chris: Cut?
Me: Yep
Chris: 1/2 half inch - that’s it!
Me: Yea, yea
Chris: I want to hear you tell Jenny that (my stylist)
Me: (to Jenny) Hey, Jenny - Chris says 1/2 inch only
Jenny: Yea - No problem
Me: See? She agreed.
Chris: Ok then - talk to you later, bye!
Me: Bye Bye
Jenny: (after Chris hangs up) Yea - 1/2 inch….AT A TIME!
::rolls eyes:: Men.
I ended up getting and inch and a half cut off. Men just don’t understand the concept of frayed ends, do they?

An inch and a half is basic maintenance on summer hair that has been in the sun, pool and just overall summer weather. It looks great. Healthy, shiny and smooth. Very pretty

That’s why men are smarter. I can cook, but why would I when she does it?
