To say that I’m a nervous freak today is putting it lightly. I’ll be watching the returns tonight with my fingers crossed and my hopes high. My hope for the winner have been clearly stated, both here and there.
It’s all about the people’s voice. If this country votes Kerry into office there is no doubt that I’ll be dissapointed and it will be hard for me to accept, but life goes on, eh? I’m prepared for a Bush win - but realistic on how divided the vote in this country is. The closeness of this race has me on pins and needles, as is the rest of the voting country, I’m sure.
So . . I have tissue. To either cry in or shred for confetti. In the meantime, I’ll be spending my time coloring.
If you haven’t voted yet - - get out there and do it!
On a final note, my special date died on Saturday. I didn’t hear about it until this morning. I’m bummed for G. because he didn’t get that last, final wish. On the same hand, I’m happy that his suffering is over and hopeful that he is a peace, now.

I thought it was great that you were going to take him to the polls, Lisa. He’s at peace now, though. We had a similar story down here in Texas…I think Ali sent it to you.

Stacy - she did send it . . it was a great story
I wish G. would have been able to vote today - - but it seems he had more pressing matters to attend to

I’m sorry that G didn’t get to keep his date, but I agree — The Big Guy needed him more.
As the poll worker told me as I placed my vote into the reader and stood there, wringing my hands, “You’ve done your part — try not to worry about what you cannot control.”
I know, I know. . .I’ve taken the day off so that I can flip channels and surf without worrying about work.
Hang in there!

I was touched when you offered to bring G to the polling area and it’s really sad he wasn’t able to make it. But im sure he’s sipping champagne right now celebrating Bush’s victory.
