Got Your Sunglasses On?

on: Apr/29/07 and its been viewed 1,415 times

bright sunglasses designI know.. I know - - really bright, hey? Yea.. well, I’ve been pretty dark over the past several months.. design wise - and I felt it was time to brighten things up around here a little.

Ok - a lot! It’s springtime. I’m done with my book. It’s time to shed some baggage and feel a little lighter and brighter as I head into summer. I know it’s a lot to adjust to… but hopefully it will grow on you the way it grew on me while I was designing it. I still have a few adjustments to make here and there - - so if you see anything truly funky… let me know. I did some things that I haven’t done before.. and had to make some minor adjustments for some of the different browsers out there - - but I think, overall, it’s about 98% *there*. Whew!

I wanted to get this done an up before Monday so that I could get it out of my system and start the week off clean and shiny - ready to hit some of the client design projects I have lined up in my queue for the next several weeks. I feel like my blog just took a shower! Heh. I think I have my own blog design out of my system for at least the next 5-6 months!

I’ve been lurking around here for awhile. I am so glad you are done with your book. Congratulations! I can not imagine how good it must feel to finish a project that big. I can not wait to read it.

Love, love, love your new design. Perfect for the bright days of spring and summer. The pink and green reminds me of the walls in my daughter’s room. When you walk in there, it just makes you feel good. Until you trip on all the crap on her floor ofcourse. :)

    Have a great week.

Hi Julie - I’m glad you de-lurked! Thanks for your comments on my new design.. it’s a bit to get used to after my last one. Two total different ends of the spectrum! :) And YES - it is a tremendous feeling being done with the book, finally.. I can’t even begin to describe <:-p

I trip all over the crap on my daughter’s bedroom floor, too - - you’re not alone on that one!

I love the design! It looks actually brighter. Honestly speaking, dark designs make me shiver as I’m afraid of the dark :(

Well I read this post in my Google RSS and just had to head straight over, having grabbed my sunglasses first, of course. Glad I did! ;)
Nice design, but being a bit of a miserable wotsit myself I think I preferred the previous look.
    Just sayin’. :x

That’s funny…you just went light and I went dark.

I love this look. Nice, bright colors.

    Congrats on the book finish.
