Hilarious Picture of the Day:

Why, you ask? Well, a whining and snivelling Tom Daschle went on national TV last night and made the following statement: “What happens when Rush Limbaugh attacks those of us in public life is that people aren’t satisfied just to listen,” whines Tommie Daschle. “They want to act because they get emotionally invested. And so, you know, the threats to those of us in public life go up dramatically, on our families and on us, in a way that’s very disconcerting.”
Here go the Dems committing suicide in front of the cameras again. Daschle just made Rush’s day - perhaps his YEAR . . . plus, probably gave him 1/2 a million more listeners. Of course, the hypocrisy of it all is pretty evident - well, we are talking about a Dem leader, after all - hypocrisy can’t be that far behind. What is the hypocricy? Daschle’s angst against conservative media figures has overlooked a few things . . . how about when Alec Baldwin wanted to stone” Congressman Henry Hyde, Jessica Lange who “hates” President Bush, Harry Belafonte who called Secretary of State Powell an “Uncle Tom,” and others. I guess that’s okay, though. It isn’t “hate speech” when it’s directed against a Republican, is it? Don’t forget the liberal columnist Julienne Malveaux’s comment re: Clarence Thomas: “I hope [Thomas's] wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter, and he dies early, like many black men do, of heart disease - he’s an absolutely reprehensible person.”
Lovely.
Once again Daschle has displayed the Democrats’ inability to relate to needs of the “masses” in a tangible rational way. This is what you get when your Political Party is controlled by Celebrities, extremists and irrational people in general.
But do we get what Daschle was doing?… His mouthing off is obviously not based in a one-sided assault because we know they use hate pieces all the time –Bush pushing an old woman in a wheelchair over a cliff; Republicans want to take away a woman’s right to choose, banning ALL abortions, so women will die in back alley abortions; Alec Baldwin calling for people to drag Kenneth Starr and his family into the street and stone them; black churches will burn if blacks vote for Bush; blacks will be dragged to death behind a truck if blacks vote for Bush; Republicans want to kill your children by ending pork legislation.
The trick is to really understand what Daschle is trying to accomplish. It’s called manipulation … the democrat party is about to embark on hate-filled rhetoric to try and control the debates in this country, debates over partial birth abortion, tax reform, health care, public education, and the war on terrorism; in order to get away with spewing their hate rhetoric, they have to first create the impression that Republicans, and conservatives in particular, are the hate-mongerers and democrats are the victims, thus by association, interest groups of the democrat constituency are the victims of conservative bile. Those poor Democrats. Can we get them some assistance please? They really need it.
In my ongoing watch of how the Democrats will try to re-invent themselves before the 2004 campaign really begins — I continue to be amused as hell at the desperation of it all.
There is one phrase in Daschle’s ‘poor-me’ comments that caught my attention above all the rest…that’s when he said this :
“What happens when Rush Limbaugh attacks those of us in public life is that they aren’t to just sit and listen”
Nothing could be closer than the truth, Tommy baby. We are not just satisfied to sit around an listen, you liberal half-wit - - we go out and VOTE!
