Kerry ‘ex-flame’ in web backlash

A woman who claims to be an old flame of US presidential hopeful John Kerry says she plans to take down details of their relationship she put on the web.
Lee Whitnum, an aspiring novelist writing under the surname Roystone, said she had received 500 hate e-mails from Democrats and Republicans.
She said she had hoped it might help her sell her novels, but realised it was an “experiment that did not work”.
There has been no public word from Mr Kerry about Ms Whitnum’s claims.
Ms Whitnum says she had a 20-month romance in the early 1990s, when Mr Kerry was a single man.
I saw this site a few days ago - - she has since taken the web site down.
I found Google’s web cache of her scrapbook here if you care to see it. Nothing much there, really - - the first time I clicked through her site, it was apparent that she would try to ride the wave of Kerry’s fame in order to sell more copies of her adult-oriented romance novel. Despite over 16,000 hits - - she didn’t sell a single book.
In an interview in the September issue of GQ magazine, the 60-year-old Massachusetts senator describes single life after his first marriage failed as “not good days”.
“Thank God I found Teresa,” he said, referring to the billionaire heiress to the Heinz food empire he married in 1995.
Yea - I bet every guy who marries a billionaire has the same exact thought. Hell, I woulda married her, too!
I’m sure that somewhere, someone is trying to turn this into the story that it isn’t. As much as I dislike Kerry - this is pretty much of a non-event, really. Just some girl trying to capitalize on her old flame who just happens to be running for POTUS - - can’t blame her, really. Can’t blame him, either - - she’s cute. But there’s no scandal here - - he was a single guy, I hope they leave it at that.

We really got to vote Dubya out. He’s clearly the worst American dictator since the 21 century. Ashcroft is a head of fearful secret police suppressing our right of the 1st amendment by patriot act. He’s spreading fear to mind-control us and make us soft. Ann Coulter is a reincarnation of Dr. Goebbels brainwashing us by her pen while Ashcroft and his oppressive police brainwash us by sword and handcuffs. The neocons Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz are warmongers and spreading imperialism around the world for oil and money. There is no president hated like this before by our allies. We need to vote for Kerry, so we can restore the confidence in international community, which has turned away from us because of Dubya. We love America, so let us show our patriotism through voting Dubya out, and kicking the neocons out from the White House will surely make America better. Clean environment, gay marriage, pro-choice, national health care will be possible if Dubya is gone. Dubya is preventing all the progressive side of America. With Dubya, of course America will degenerate and I have no doubt that no USA wants to see that. To improve USA, voting Dubya out is the only option. Unite and vote for Kerry!
