Last week, my daughter came to me and said, “We need a mom/daughter night - wanna go out on a date?”
How could I refuse?
She got to pick the night and the activity. So we’re going to Applebee’s and then to see some movie with Samuel Jackson . . . I can’t remember the name of the film. Captain . . . something. It’s a basketball movie.
I might like it.
I’m not to fond of Applebee’s either. It’s like Denny’s with better lighting.
But, hey - - a night with my kid . . and it was HER idea? I can live through anything

Since my husband is working late tonight, I wanted to take my daughter out to dinner, just the two of us. But she hasn’t seen her best friend in a long time, because the best friend has a boy friend now, and so tonight is the only chance they have to hang out. So, I told my daughter that her and I would go out tomorrow night. How old is your daughter? Mine is 14 going on 21.
