Conversation in the car

My daughter and I had gone to Starbucks last night before hitting the grocery store. She usually gets a Vanilla Soy Latte - but this time wanted something holiday-ish. So I tell her to order the Peppermint Mocha. “You’ll love it,” I say. She was skeptical… but daring enough to order it. When we got our order…..

Me: Pass that over, I want to try it

Her: You’ve never had it?? I thought you told me I would love it!

Me: No, I haven’t had it - but it sounds good.

Her: How did you know I would love it if you’ve never had it??

Me: I have a massive and creative taste imagination going on inside my head.

Her: Ok, Willy Wonka - whatever *passes the cup*

And I was right — It WAS good!

You know I usually buy Godiva Chocalate coffees for my coffee treats but saw an online ad for this from Starbucks and just couldn’t resist. So that was three weeks ago and I’ve about about 8 already. I’ll probably get another this weekend.

    They are sooooooo good.:)

I’m so addicted to Starbucks, it’s shameful! ;;)

Hmmmmmmmm. Maybe conversations like that are a girl thing and I should just be happy to have two boys…

Just a note from your friendly Starbucks barista - we actually carry peppermint all year round, so you can ALWAYS get a peppermint mocha ;-)! Also, another EXTREMELY popular drink this season is the peppermint white mocha, so if you like sweet, give that a try too! Tastes kind of like one of those soft peppermint sticks!

Thanks Lindsey, I did try one of those….heaven.

Another treat but not for those under 18 Lisa. Godiva creme brulee coffee blend with a shot of Bailey’s Irish Whiskey. Top off with some whipped creme. Delightful.

That’s hysterical. Some of the best comments come in those short moments in time. My husband, Joe, got his nickname “Adventure Boy” in that way. LOL

YUM! Your creative taste imagination was right on. I love this time of year. The Peppermint Mocha, Gingerbread Latte, and Pumpkin Spice are some of my favorites. The rest of the year I stick to my other favorite - Caramel Macchiato. I think I’ll be drinking a lot more Starbucks now that I have a 3 month old baby.

I just ordered your book from Borders the other day. I am looking forward to receiving and reading it soon!

Steve - the Gingerbread Latte is a favorite of mine, as well.

On the ‘off season’ - I usually drink the Caramel Macchiato or the Cinnamon Dolce. I’m a total addict. =p~

And thanks for picking up the book - I hope you enjoy!
